Guidelines/Suggestions
|
Please be respectful of the other members of the group. Writing is a personal process, and it is very hard to present your work to other people. Please be honest and direct in your critique, but do it in a thoughtful way.
Please READ your fellow writers’ work and have something to say about it at the following meeting. We can provide suggestions on how to critique.
If you cannot be present at a meeting, please be prepared for the following meeting.
This is your WRITING group. You get as much from it as you put into it. Please make every attempt to write something for each meeting. Your fellow writers learn as much from your writing as they do from your critiques of their writing.
Work to be critiqued must be emailed or given to the group on the Tuesday before each meeting.
If the work to be critiqued exceeds 100 pages, we will discuss a longer time frame for reading and critiquing. However, this time frame cannot exceed one month.
