Kirk Baker
Kirk Baker was born and raised in Somerset, PA where he first developed an interest in
writing.  At 13, he asked for and received a typewriter for Christmas.  At that time, he
wrote for many publications including Reader’s Digest and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Magazine.  Unfortunately, those publications were never aware of his efforts.
Kirk left Somerset at the age of 17 to join the Marine Corps.  After military service, he
received a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina State University and worked
as an engineer in many parts of the country and abroad. He has three children, David,
Nicole, and Matthew.   Now retired, he is back in Somerset, living in the same house he
was raised in.  He is writing again, optimistic that, this time, someone will notice.
